Jan Thiel is Deputy-CEO of Auctionata, the world’s leading livestream auction platform for art, collectibles and luxury objects. Auctionata was founded in 2012 and has now offices in Berlin, New York, London, Zurich, Rome and Madrid. In 2014, the company achieved over EUR 30m in sales and is now the largest auction house in Germany.
Prior to joining Auctionata in 2012, Jan worked for McKinsey & Company in London for 9 years serving mostly private equity clients. He also worked 2 years at Orange managing their international partnerships and business development activities.
Jan holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Diplome de Grande Ecole / European Masters in Management from ESCP-EAP in Paris.
